Facing Fear

While we would face death with anxiety and fear, Jesus sees glory. Where we would be self-concerned, Jesus compassionately prepares His disciples for His departure. As we would turn in on our own mourning, Jesus turns His disciples towards a new commandment: loving one another.

United in Christ

What does it mean for us to be united in Christ? Especially as a corporate church body? Christ breaks down the barrier that separates us, no matter if the division is race, gender, wealth, power, or religion.

Union with Christ

We have a choice. We can remain under the curse of Adam or we can have union with Christ. One choice will lead to separation and destruction and the other brings an eternity of oneness. Choose wisely...

Acts: Entry Denied

In Acts we will see the Holy Spirit deny access to Paul and Company, a vision from the Lord, and the first conversion in Europe. We will also address the questions: What is the takeaway for us today? What should we learn from these passages? And, how should we apply the principles to our lives?

2 Corinthians: Encouragement to Completion

In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul encourages the Corinthians to complete in the fellowship of ministering to the saints in Jerusalem. What does this look like? What are the motivations? Does Paul lay a burden upon the Corinthians as they continue to turn their ship around? What does our Lord Jesus say about this? What a great treasure of application we have in this text concerning this fellowship!

Love Your Enemies

Love your enemies is a simple directive, but extremely difficult for us humans to fulfill. It is easier to hold onto hate, revenge, and the desire for retaliation. Especially now when all our feelings are permanently displayed online for the world to see. Yet still Jesus says love your enemies!
