Acts: From the Heart

Every once in a while in Scripture we are given the rare opportunity to listen in on a very special conversation or private meeting. In Acts we will listen in as Paul pours out his deep concerns to the Elders of the Ephesian church. To hear an apostle give a sort of last will and testament to a group of Elders whom he may never see again is not only a special privilege, it is incredibly instructive. Now our church can benefit from this special teaching.

1 Peter: Elder, Shepherd, Overseer

Sermon discussion questions for parents to use with their children:
  • Why did God appoint elders for the church?
  • What did Peter tell the elders they were and were not supposed to do?
  • How are we supposed to relate to the elders?
  • Why are they important on our pilgrimage to heaven?
  • How are we supposed to treat each other according to this text?
